Something new is happening. It seems mostly good. What have you gotten me into?
We took Annabelle to her first swim class tonight. David got into the pool with her and I stayed on the sides to photograph. She seemed to like it and even kicked a few times. Mostly she was just really overwhelmed with sensory input. She's gotten really interested in her environment in the last week or so. No longer can she fall asleep when there are things to see. She kept staring at the people, the other kids, the water, all of it.
We signed up for more classes because it was fun for us, good bonding time, etc. The place is nice and has heated indoor pools (it's also where I took my prenatal swim therapy.) Even if she isn't learning swimming per se, she's learning to not be afraid of the water and she is bonding with us.
The rest of this story I will tell in photos with captions as I imagine Annabelle was thinking.
This seems like a bad idea.
However when I take a bath it is much harder to kick Daddy.
This splashing thing is kinda interesting.
Daddy I am going to need you to focus better. Also what's holding me in the water?
That's cool. We can just chill and float. I'm a zen baby.
